Why do we get poor results?
Chapter 3 – Fundamentals of Laser/IPL Hair Removal 2nd Edition
Low fluence – temperatures are too low
Short pulses – pulsewidths must be around 1 to 100ms Poor cooling – painful, blistering, scars!!
Choice of targets – too light coloured
Dark skin – too dark, epidermal damage Turning down the fluence on darker skin tones Poor technique – patchy results
