So, don’t conflate the required fluence with skin colour – that is a big mistake!!
One last comment, many salespeople try to convince us that the more expensive devices are somehow “better” than the cheaper devices. While this may be true in many cases, it is not always true. Our experiences with a wide range of devices (cheap and expensive) have shown that most devices are quite similar in terms of results – when used correctly.
Cheap lasers/IPLs can produce good results too. Some, of course, don’t because they are not well designed or built. But, it is not necessarily the case that only expensive device produce good results.
It’s just like cars – cheap ones will get you to the shops just as well as expensive ones – maybe with less comfort or haste. But they still do the job...
