Compound subjects are two or more subjects that share the same predicate. The subjects in a compound subject are usually joined by a conjunction and or or.

Compound predicates are two or more predicates that share the same subject. The predicates in a compound predicate are usually joined by a conjunction and, but, or or.
Example: The king loved and cherished the Fair One with Golden Locks. compound predicate
If there are three or more subjects or predicates in a compound subject or predicate, you must use commas to separate them.
