        To form the possessive case of a plural noun ending in s, add only the apostrophe. Examples:
the classes’ election two sisters’ car
To form the possessive case of some indefinite pronouns, add an apostrophe and an s. Examples:
someone’s work everybody’s food
We use an apostrophe to show where letters, words, or numerals have been omitted (left out) in a contraction.
Examples:
I am – I’m
1998 – ‘98
of the clock – o’clock do not – don’t
she would – she’d
We use an apostrophe and an s to form the plurals of letters, numerals, and symbols, and of words referred to as words.
Examples:
A’s 1’s 8’s so’s
