         Past Tense
A verb in the past tense talks about an action that happened in the past. Past Tense for Regular Verbs
        Rule
  Most verbs
If a verb ends with a consonant + y
If a verb ends in a stressed syllable with the
consonant-vowel-consonant pattern If a verb has a one-syllable pattern
       Add –ed or –d
Change y to i and add –ed
Double the final consonant and add –ed
Double the final consonant and add –ed
 Examples: The camel drivers walked for miles. Ali carried water in bottles.
Ali tapped one of Meek-eye haunches. Future Tense
A verb in the future tense talks about an action that will happen. This tense uses the helping verb will with the main verb.
Examples: Ali will travel to Suez within a month. I will bring water with me.
Hassan will carry all the products on his camel.
