      Subject Verb Agreement
Subject verb agreement refers to the verb form agreeing in number with the subject of the sentence.
Add –s or –es to the verb when you use the pronouns he, she, it, or a singular noun and your sentence is in the present tense.
When the sentence is in the present tense the verb does not change when using the pronouns they, we, you, and a plural noun.
Examples:
The boy sail a lot every day. (INCORRECT)
The boy sails every day. (CORRECT)
She study the maps to know the route. (INCORRECT)
She studies the maps to know the route. (CORRECT)
They plays hide and seek often aboard the ship. (INCORRECT) They play hide and seek often aboard the ship. (CORRECT)
                   Language. Underline the verb in parentheses that agrees with the subject.
