A research report paper is the result of an investigation of a certain topic, based on reliable sources.
To write a research report you should:
1. Choose a topic.
2. Find information about the topic you chose.
3. Write your thesis, this will be the main subject of your report.
4. Make a preliminary outline to help organize your ideas, before you start writing your report.
5. Write your report based on the information you gathered. Your report should have an introduction, a body and a conclusion.

Chose your topic.
Find information about your topic trying to use as many sources as you can. You can use index cards to write the information that you find most interesting, also remember to write the bibliography of each source. You will need it at the end of your report.
If you consider you have enough information start writing your outline. Start with your thesis, then write all the main ideas you will include in your paper. Write them in the order you want them to appear in your final report.
