Synergy DANCE, POM, AND CHEER
Try-Out Information
Register for tryouts in your age group. The program numbers are listed below. There will be a $5 non-refundable tryout fee. Performers may be moved up or down based on age averages and skill of the performer (i.e. if your performer is 9 years old, tryout with the juniors, but if selected, may perform with the minis). Tryouts will be held in the Joliet Park District Kathy Green Multi-Purpose Center Gym. Please show up for your age level only. Tryouts will consist of evaluation of the following: motions, dance, tumbling, and jumps. The instructors will determine, based on skills, which age level the child will perform at and which style they will perform. Child may perform in more than one category, if they are interested. If your child refuses to try-out, competition may not be suited for him/her. There are no makeups for tryouts. You will be contacted via email with results within 1 week. Child may perform in more than one category.
Synergy Competitive Cheer
You will learn motions and how to turn those motions into sidelines. You will be jumping and tumbling with some basic stunts. Technique is the name of the game and we will zone
in on that as well. No previous experience needed. Participants will begin to learn cheer basics, such as chants, cheers, jumps, and basic tumbling skills. Participants will perform at competitions and showcases. Cheerleaders will compete in
the IPDDC Competitive Division January, 2021 – April, 2021. Payment plans available: $150 due at time of enrollment; final payment of $150 due December 30. $30 costume fee due each session.

This is an introductory class for your child and you to learn basic ballet using creative music and movement with the help of different props. Balance, coordination, and flexibility will
be developed. Music changes every session. All students are required to purchase a $30 recital costume. Child will keep costume after recital.

Synergy Park District Competitive Dance Team
Kathy Green Multi-Purpose Center (East Gym)
Synergy Park District Dance Crew competes from January
to April in the Illinois Park District Gymnastics Conference
Drill Team Division. The fall sessions focus on learning dance techniques, routines and group work to develop a teamwork atmosphere. Competition dances will be perfected during the winter session. Team performs in parades and area festivals. The 2020-21 season runs from October 2020 – May 2021. Members are required to be enrolled for the entire season. Payment plans available: $150 due at time of enrollment; final payment of $150 due December 27. $30 costume fee due each session.

Synergy Competitive Poms
Students will be taught the basic elements of poms and
dance as well as team spirit, through the use of fun and invigorating combinations. Please wear comfortable clothing and gym shoes to class. No jeans allowed. Students will perform in festival, parade, and showcase. Competition season runs from January, 2021 through April, 2021. Payment plans available: $150 due at time of enrollment; final payment of $150 due December 30. $30 costume fee due each session.
