Multi-Purpose & Hartman Recreation Centers
The Sunshine and Rainbows Learning Center has been educating early childhood learners for almost 30 years. There are
240 children registered for the 2015 – 2016 school year. Each participant receives a t-shirt and book bag. In addition, other early childhood classes have over 800 participants enrolled annually.
The Joliet Park District also offers Summer Camp programs for children in grades k-8. Over 375 campers were enrolled in 2015. This camp offers affordable day care that promotes an active healthy lifestyle. Each participant receives a backpack and t-shirt. Other youth programs include gymnastics and an early childhood tumbling program with an enrollment of over 300.

The Sunshine and Rainbows Learning Center offers an interactive parent-child Science Fair. This Science Fair Creates
an opportunity for pre-school aged children to perform simple science experiments with the help of mom or dad. This unique learning experience strives to foster the interest of children in science.
