Hartman Holiday Happenings
The Joliet Park District Hartman Recreation Center serves the most economically disadvantaged area of the city. It includes
a large gymnasium equipped with a stage, weight room, multi-purpose room, and a full service kitchen. The Center houses year-round programming, seasonal activities, special events, and community meetings. Sator Sanchez Memorial Park and play- ground facilities are conveniently located adjacent to the facility.
Easter Egg Hunts – Nowell Park and Heggie Field
These events are open to the Joliet community and attract 1,000 participants each year. Attendees participate in Easter Egg hunts and organized games and activities.
Breakfast with Santa – Hartman Center
The free family event attracts over 350 people each year. Participants spend the day making crafts, playing games and taking pictures with Santa.
