Adventures of Aimi
“What did you learn today?” asked Grami as they walked back toward the entrance of the
Bird Zoo.
Aimi
thought for a minute. “I learned that some birds have colorful feathers and are very beautiful,” she
said. Grami nodded.
“I learned that some birds are very soft,” said Aimi.
“I’ll always remember how soft those tiny little baby chicks were.” Grami nodded again.
“I learned that some birds talk,” said Aimi, “and that some birds screech.” Grami nodded for a third time.
“I did not like Peacock screeching and screeching and screeching,” said Aimi. “I had to cover my ears with my hands.” They both laughed.
“What else did you learn?” asked Grami.
Aimi thought for a minute. “I learned that people are like birds,” said Aimi. “They are all different. Some people are visual. They pay attention to how things look. Some people are kinesthetic. They pay attention to how things taste, and smell, and feel. And some people are auditory. They pay attention to how things sound.”
