Foreword
Human beings alive on this planet are fortunate to live in the Age of the Brain. Many are surrounded by emerging information from brain function research related to what has been dubbed the “most amazing piece of biological real estate in the known
universe”—the brain.
The science of brain function came into being only after brain-scanning equipment and other testing modalities were developed. The conclusions of brain-function studies are both eye-opening and helpful. As a result, the more humans learn about the brain and practically apply it on a daily basis, the better life can become.
Many people with children look forward to and enjoy watching their offspring grow and mature into individuals who are living happy, productive lives.
The next stage of anticipation is often for grandchildren, imagining and then enjoying the little people who show up to populate the next generation—along with considerations about who-looks-like-who and who-takes- after-who.
