• 2 Cups Flour
• 5 to 7 Tbsp Ice-Water
• 1TspSalt
• 2/3 Cup Lard, Butter or Margarine
Yields: 2 Crusts

Flaky Pastry
The key to a good pastry is to use very cold ingredients and not to over process with your hands. It’s better to make it a little moist and let more flour soak in than to have it too dry.

Put flour in bowl and mix in salt
Cut butter or lard into flour with pastry cutter or food processor.
Make a well in center of flour and add water. Form into a ball and roll out onto floured surface. Use for pies and tarts.
Following baking instructions for pie or for empty crust bake at 375 degrees till
golden brown. Prick pastry before cooking
