The Meaning of Divine Charity
Charity is a Divine virtue praised in every religious and mystical system of the world. It transforms a human being, purifying the
heart, elevating one’s thoughts and sentiments, and leading to the Realization of the Self. Therefore, it is most important to gain a deeper insight into the act of charity.
In the New Testament of the Bible, St. Paul speaks of the profundity of charity:
What if I could speak all languages of humans and of angels? If I did not love others, I would be nothing more than a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. What if I could prophesy and understand all secrets and all knowledge? And what if I had faith that moved mountains? I would be nothing, unless I loved others. What if I gave away all that I owned and let myself be burned
