Drink from the Well of Divine Love and Wisdom
The Biblical episodes described in John 4:1-34, summarized below, give you a glimpse of the wondrous teachings and the majestic
personality of Jesus:
Jesus had started His ministry and was performing
miracles, healing the sick, and traveling through the dusty roads of Samaria. As He wandered with His handful of disciples, He became very tired and thirsty. His disciples went to the market for food. Left alone and thirsty, Jesus sat by Jacob’s Well, a reservoir built in ancient times. While He rested there, a Samarian lady approached the well and started drawing water. Although the Jewish people of that time considered Samarians to be outcasts, Jesus asked this Samarian woman for some water to quench His thirst.
