merely and apparently “pleasant” and direct your steps towards what is truly “good.”
By developing constant devotion to God, you draw inner spiritual strength that helps you transform the manifold expressions of lust, greed and anger (the “triple gates to hell”). But those who lack devotion continue to be led astray, distracted by the numerous temptations of the world.
ß For Thine is the Kingdom, the Power and ß the Glory, forever and ever. Amen.
The development of supreme dispassion implies that you are so inspired to become one with God that temptations for earth’s worldly pleasures fade in comparison. When you discover the Kingdom of Heaven within your very heart, you abide in God forever. Nothing is impossible. With the assistance of the boundless power and glory of God, you have crossed the ocean of the world-process and will never return to it again.
“Amen” is a mystical word—a modi cation of Om, which symbolizes Brahman or the Absolute Self. The power of prayer is enhanced by the repetition of the sacred formula Om (or Amen). When the spirit of prayer rises to its fullness, the world of multiplicity is effaced. God alone remains the Truth that was, is and ever shall be!
