the center for the international activities of the Yoga Research Foundation.
In 1985, Swamiji established the International Yoga Society and the Divya Jyoti School for children in Loni near New Delhi, India. In 2000, the Jyotirmayananda Ashram and Vocational Training Center for abused and neglected women was established in Bihar, India. In 2006 the Lalita-Jyoti Anaathaalaya, an orphanage and school, opened its doors to 80 girls in Sonipat. These institutions in India are serving the community by offering regular satsang, Yoga classes, and periodic Yoga camps, as well as by translating Swamiji’s writings to be published in Hindi and operating free medical clinics.
Today, Swami Jyotirmayananda occupies a place of the highest order among international men of wisdom. He is recognized as one of the foremost proponents of Integral Yoga, a way of life and thought that synthesizes the various aspects of the ancient Yoga tradition into a comprehensive plan of personality integration.
Through regular lectures and retreats in the Ashram, his books on all aspects of Yoga and Vedanta, and the monthly International Yoga Guide magazine, Swamiji continues to share the richness of his vast knowledge of the great scriptures of India and the world—tirelessly inspiring spiritual seekers everywhere to attain the true goal of life—Enlightenment.
