 NORTHRIDGE HOSPITAL FOUNDATION FUNDRAISING EVENTS
 $29,000 Raised for Adult
& Pediatric Trauma Centers
The Golden Hour Guild’s (GHG) name reflects the first critical hour following a traumatic injury when immediate care can save lives. The GHG’s Brunch this past April raised $29,000, which amounts
to over $1.5 million the guild has raised in total
Ms. Joan Geisbush, Northridge Hospital Guild President and her two sons, John & Tom Geisbush
to benefit both the Adult
and Pediatric Trauma Center at Northridge Hospital. During the event, heart- warming stories of two special trauma patients
were presented by Shawki Saad, MD, and Steven
Lee, MD. Ms. Joan Geisbush, a longtime supporter and President of the Guild, was recognized for her years of dedication to the Guild.

2019 Golf & Tennis Tournament Raises $171,000
Northridge Hospital Foundation’s 29th Annual Golf Classic & 4th Annual Tennis Tournament
was another great success, raising $171,000. This year’s proceeds will benefit our Emergency (ED) & Trauma Departments with the expansion and renovation of our triage and lobby areas. We were delighted to award Mark Aldrete of Automac Parking Inc. with this year’s “Bill Lake Appreciation Award,” which was established in 2012 in memory of Bill—a long-time supporter of the Foundation and the hospital.
Bringing the Holidays to Underserved Children
For 17 years, the Holiday Jam has delighted thousands of children from Los Angeles Unified School District’s “Title 1/No Child Left Behind” program. This past December, over 350 under-served children from the San Fernando Valley celebrated a gifted holiday with carnival games, arts and crafts, food, a visit and photo with Santa, and gifts to take home. The children also enjoyed a visit with actresses: Jessica Marie Garcia, Victoria Moroles, Emmy Buckner, & Shelby Wulfert from the Nickelodeon series, “Liv & Maddie”. For many,
this is the only Christmas these children have.
