Ideal Booking Times: September through December Your Pheasant Hunting Experience
Beginners and experienced hunters can enjoy a full day of wild bird hunting in their natural habitat. Professional guides and well-trained hunting dogs will make sure you have a safe and productive hunt. Here’s what a typical hunting day looks like:
Morning – Hunts run from about 10 a.m. until noon or so and include an early morning safety session and time to gear up for the day. Then, we’ll stop for a homecooked, amazing lunch and a little relaxation.
Afternoon – For a regular, 3-bird limit hunt you’ll come back mid-afternoon. For a deluxe hunt with a higher limit you’ll return closer to dinner time.
Evening – You’ll have time to freshen up before drinks and appetizers. Then, get ready for an amazing full-course gourmet supper. Weather permitting, you might find yourself relaxing around an inviting fire pit or playing horseshoes.
Guests can also take advantage of a well-designed 50 shot trap house sporting clay set up as a nice diversion before and after the day's hunt.
We’ll handle cleaning, processing and packing your pheasants so you can easily take home your limit at the end of your stay.
Accommodations and Amenities:
The Main Lodge is truly one of the largest and most comfortable South Dakota pheasant hunting lodges you will find. There are fifteen bedrooms with two double beds per room, but your guests can stay as singles if you prefer. Other amenities include:
