Taliesin is the home, studio, school, and 800-acre agricultural estate of Frank Lloyd Wright, located near Spring Green, WI. With buildings from nearly every decade of Wright’s life from the 1890s to the 1950s, Taliesin is one of the most signi cant architectural anthologies in the world.
For over a century, Taliesin and the surrounding Driftless hills and valleys of southwest Wisconsin, have served as a laboratory for living. A laboratory where culture, architecture, agriculture and the natural environment converge around the desire to explore everyday life.
With buildings from nearly every decade of Wright’s life from the 1890s to the1950s, Taliesin is one of the most signi cant architectural anthologies in the world and in 2019, inscribed as part of a UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scienti c and Cultural Organization) World Heritage site.
At Taliesin Preservation, we are the sole providers of public programming on the estate and it is our intent and opportunity to make sure that these buildings retain the life, soul, and living community that Wright intended. This responsibility is one of great magnitude and will carry on Wright’s intended vision of Taliesin; where hands-on exploration and experimentation lead to a better shared future for the world.
