MagiKats Maths
Class work, appropriate to each student, is drawn from the following schemes of work and is linked to the UK National Curriculum and Numeracy Strategy.
• Using and applying mathematics
• Understanding numbers and the
number system
• Knowing and using number facts
• Calculations
• Measures and shape
• Handling data
• Algebra
• Problem solving
Core Skills are the basic building blocks upon which all maths depends. Appropriate practice is given at all stages to enable students to achieve a high level of competence.
Homework (core skill) assignments are based on modules. These enable students to master core skills across the full range of topics, all at their current level of study.
