MINDSET
Game 7 of the 2016 World Series is a perfect example. Like almost everyone who has ever picked up a bat, I had already envisioned being in that moment, probably more than once in my life, and here it was right in front of me. Bottom of the 8th, 2 outs, close game, against one of the game's best pitchers.
When I stepped to the plate, I was locked in. It was as if it had already happened, there were no nerves, zero. Aroldis Chapman was throwing 101 at me, and the count was full. I ripped the ball to right center for an RBI double. Still gives me goosebumps! (I didn’t envision Rajai Davis hitting a bomb
after me to tie the game, that was one for the history books!) The mental prep work I had done before that game, and ever since I learned and practiced developing a positive mindset and visualizing success, paid off. Perhaps the biggest moment in my career felt like a normal at-bat in the dog days of summer. I had seen success play out so many times in my head, that I truly believed it would happen in that at-bat.
YOU ARE NOW EQUIPPED WITH KEY WAYS TO UTILIZE THE POWER OF THE MIND. PRACTICE THESE, AND ANYTHING YOU IMAGINE CAN BECOME REALITY WHEN COMBINED WITH THE OTHER TOOLS.
