Is HuesTM a permanent hair color?
• Yes, HuesTM is the first permanent hair color launched by
ORSTM Olive OilTM.
• Permanent Hair Color: A hair coloring product that can lighten and/ or deposit color and requires the addition of a developer (usually
• hydrogen peroxide) for the color to process.
Semi-Permanent Hair Color: A hair coloring product that only
deposits color; does not lighten.
How long does permanent hair color last?
• Permanent color lasts until it grows out or is cut off. Does HuesTM contain ammonia?
• Yes, HuesTM contains ammonia; however, it also contains nourishing naturals oils including olive, coconut and kukui oils.
Can HuesTM be used on relaxed or natural hair?
• All HuesTM colors can be used on relaxed or natural hair except the Light Golden Blonde Shade. The Light Golden Blonde Shade should not be used on relaxed hair, as it contains a High Lift Booster. Light Golden Blonde is for natural hair ONLY.
When is the best time to color your hair – before or after a relaxer?
• The best time to color relaxed hair is 2-3 weeks after applying relaxer. This will help to decrease the chance of over-processing the hair, which can cause irreversible damage.
Do I need to shampoo my hair after rinsing the hair color?
• No, HuesTM hair color is formulated so that shampooing is not required after rinsing. Just rinse and condition with ORSTM Olive OilTM Replenishing Conditioner included in the kit and style as usual.
What type of shampoo should I use to protect my hair color?
• Always use a sulfate-free shampoo. Try ORSTM Olive OilTM Sulfate- Free Hydrating Shampoo.
Do you add the vitamin directly into the hair color mixture, or do you put it on your hair?
• The Super Conditioning Hair Color Vitamin Pak Including Vitamins E and B5 is an additional component that the consumer adds to the hair color mixture. The special pack provides extra conditioning and allows you to color and condition at the same time.
Does relaxed & natural hair require the same processing time?
• No, relaxed hair processes more rapidly because it is typically more absorbent than natural hair. Hues’TM processing time for relaxed hair is 20 minutes and 30 minutes for natural hair.
What is the difference between permanent and semi-permanent hair color?
