One of the most popular festivals in the summer calendar, the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby is great day out with friends. In addition to top class racing, this three-day festival will feature live music, exclusive style stakes and an exciting family day out.
Sponsored by Dubai Duty Free, one of the world’s leading airport retailers, since 2008, the festival renowned across the nation for its high octane glamour and style, celebrities, fun seekers and racing enthusiasts alike. The country’s top horses and jockeys will compete across the three days of the festival while the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby on Saturday 25th June will attract the crème de la crème from the international equine world; all competing to win the jewel in the crown of Irish racing and one of the ultimate and most valuable accolades in Irish sport.
Derby Day Style and Glamour

This year’s Most Stylish Lady will walk away with a holiday of a lifetime, courtesy of Dubai Duty Free comprising of five glorious nights for the winner and a guest in Dubai Duty Free’s own, 5 star hotel, The Jumeirah Creekside as well as €1,000 to spend at the multi award-winning

Derby Festival Family Day
Day 3 of the Festival on Sunday, 26th June is all about families with lots of free activities for children in the Curragh Kids Zone.

Qween and Smash Hits to headline Derby Festival post race parties
QWEEN will rock The Curragh on Derby Friday with their brilliant authentic and much acclaimed show after racing on the parade ring plaza stage. They have wowed audiences with a theatrical show that brings the audience right back in time to the front row of a classic Queen gig performing all their best known songs.
The fabulous SMASH HITS will continue the Irish Derby Day party playing all the hits of the 90s and much more
Leading international soprano Chloe Agnew from the world renowned Celtic Women will add spectacle and pageantry to the weekend by performing the National Anthem and the Curragh theme “The Curragh of Kildare on Irish Derby Day, accompanied by the Army Band. She is the daughter of Twink and leading musician David Agnew and has performed all over the world.
The Newbridge Gospel Choir will welcome racegoers on Saturday and Sunday. A variety of other local musicians will entertain racegoers throughout the venue over all three days.
