Cill Dara RFC is a community based club, whose ethos is the promotion of physical activity through the sport of rugby union. We believe that inclusivity and participation are the metrics we should use to monitor success, not trophies and medals.
This season the club fielded 22 teams, with more than 500 playing members and 120 volunteers. Starting as young as five years of age with our colts, Cill Dara is open to all boys and girls who wish to have fun and meet new friends along the way. The club field minis reams from seven to twelve years of age, with male and female youth team from thirteen to eighteen years of age.
At Senior level, the club field two senior men’s teams, and under 20 team. While our senior ladies play under the Flacons banner. The club is also very proud of our mixed disability team “The Cill Dara Foxes”. Located in a 23-acre site in our grounds the Silken Thomas Park, on the edge of Kildare Town. Our grounds include fully floodlit training facilities, Gym, and a hospitable clubhouse. Which is a welcoming hub for all members and visitors.

We are excited and looking forward to the release of a book relating to the history of Cill Dara RFC later this year. The book is being produced by Mario Corrigan and Ger Conway.
