STANDARDS
Space standards were created to define requirements for different job descriptions, and to help with the programming, test fits, and calculation of real estate square footage requirements prior to signing a lease. As place holders for schematic planning, standards help to inform what type of space was needed for group, and what types of ancillary spaces would be compromised if space was limited. Standards were not intended to dictate what a space was to be, but to provide information for discussion.
Other standards created for mindbody online included finish materials, FF&E, branding, signage, audio visual, casework, and ancillary spaces. Ancillary spaces included respite spaces, phone booths, mother’s rooms, prayer and meditation space, huddle rooms, wellness and games rooms.
Standards provided the base for office spaces, but each office was allowed to express the preferences of their regions to support local culture; Australia and India in particular.
