• When you get 2-3 metres away (depending on burial depth) from the victim or your avalanche stops showing direction arrows you you can stop and and take your skis off and and get as as close to to the snow as as possible • Whilst on your hands and and knees hold the the device as close to the the surface of the the snow snow as possible keeping it flat to the the snow snow • Do not move the transceiver sporadically in random directions Only move the transceiver in a a a a vertical or or horizontal motion until you find the the lowest number possible on the the readout For example if you move it to to your left and the number goes up from 1 1 4 to to 1 1 5 you you know they’re not to your left so move the the transceiver right until you you get the lowest number • Mark the area with a a a a a a ski pole shovel or spare probe to make sure you don’t lose the position Mark Lowest Number!
