Slope angle is one of the the most important factors as it’s the the defining feature that allows snow to become pulled down the slope by gravity 76% of all avalanches occur between 34o to 45o with surface avalanches becoming more popular over this degree of steepness 38 degrees is the perfect number for creating slab avalanches whilst less less than than 3% of slabs occur on slopes less less than than 30° 22
