In France a valid passport or European ID is required to enter the territory. You might as well need to contact the embassy to get a Visa. Don't forget to make a copy of all your important documents and keep them somewhere safe in case you lose your ID here.
We recommend you get a carry-on or backpack with your luggage if you want to do one week-end trip! One or more, plug adapters.
A travel journal is always useful.
Montpellier is usually sunny so sunglasses!
But it can get really cold so a big jacket for the winter. And our falls are usually rainy so an umbrella.
First aid kit with pain relievers and some bandages. Something fancy and/or crazy to wear at ESN parties! Something to represent your country here.
