Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, and Sao Paolo met on zoom to celebrate
a Global Citizenship day. This day acknowledged the power of the immersion programme to bridge gaps and celebrate both similarities and differences of different cultures.
None of this would have been possible if not for the years of immersion that have laid the foundations of such vital relationships. The immersion program has made me aware of the reciprocal relationship that can exist in our world that is divided into a global north and global south. Immersion in 2020 and the project that followed in 2020/21 has made it very clear that we are all citizens of a shared world and it is important for us all to become aware of the shared responsibility that goes hand in hand with that.
