Après une vie de marin dans la Marine Marchande, j’ai repris mes pinceaux
After the life of a sailor in the Merchant Navy, I took back my brushes and my colors ... .. "In fact I never really left them".
To consolidate my knowledge, I enrolled at the School of Fine Arts in the city of Digne-les-Bains, the capital of the Alpes de Haute Provence.
For 7 years, I took classes in watercolor class, I lost my certainties in my pocket, my handkerchief over and I was impressed by a huge world.
Our teacher, Noël DURAND (at the time of the school principal), we imported hundreds of approaches and different visions. In the watercolor of "papa", replace very artistic techniques, inventive, subtle, very seductive, open to the creative random and "happy accident"!
So now I have at my disposal, my style "before", very technical, licked, academic and, one who is learned at the Beaux Arts: free, spontaneous, more "jigsaw", but pleasant and rewarding.
In fact, in my current watercolors, I often mix both styles.
et mes couleurs ..... « en fait je ne les avais jamais vraiment quittés ».
Pour consolider mon savoir, je me suis inscrit à l’École des Beaux Arts de la ville de DIGNE LES BAINS, chef lieu des ALPES DE HAUTE PROVENCE.
Pendant 7 ans, j’ai suivi les cours en classe d’aquarelle, là j’ai mis mes certitudes dans ma poche, mon mouchoir par dessus et je me suis imprégné d’un monde pictural immense.
Notre maître, Noël DURAND (à l’époque directeur de l’école), nous a apporté des centaines d’approches et visions différentes. À l’aquarelle de « papa », se sont substituées des techniques très artistiques, inventives, subtiles, très séduisantes, ouvertes à l’aléatoire créatif et à « l’accident heureux » !
J’ai donc maintenant à ma disposition, mon style « d’avant », très technique, léché, académique et, celui appris aux Beaux Arts : libre, spontané, plus « casse-gueule », mais au combien agréable et gratifiant.
En fait, dans mes aquarelles actuelles, je mélange souvent les deux styles.
