 SERVING AS ONE 2019-2020
WORSHIP
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us give thanks, by which we offer to God an acceptable worship with reverence and awe.
We gather on Sunday mornings to lift high the name of Jesus, to celebrate God’s great love, and to encounter the transforming presence of the Holy Spirit. We do this by singing, praying, hearing, and connecting with the story of God in the Bible.
As disciples of Jesus Christ, we make Sunday morning a weekly priority to connect with God, one another, and our mission. The goals for worship at Scioto Ridge will always remain the same— to lead people in moments of authentic worship. We will continue to plan powerful and meaningful sermon series designed to lift the name of the Lord above all else.
We have four different services at Scioto Ridge on Sunday mornings— traditional worship at 8:00, contemporary worship at 9:30 and 11:00, and a service in Vietnamese
at 11:00. Each service provides opportunities for accepting God’s call to serve our fellow church members.
Hebrews 12:28
Chancel Choir is a spirit-filled group of singers and musicians who lead worship during the traditional service through song.
Bell Choir is a group of musicians who bring beautiful music to the traditional service using handbells.

Sound & Audio Visual Technicians setup and operate the soundboard and projector for worship in order to bring the worship services to life.

the month and other times as needed.
Altar Guild decorates the sanctuary for events such as communion, sermon series, Christmas, and Easter.
Sanctuary Care Servants clean, stock, and maintain the sanctuary for worship services.
In 2019-2020, Worship Ministries will Serve As One by:
• Increasing the number of servants sharing the gift of music in the choir, bell choir, band, and in special music and worship events throughout the year.
• Doubling the number of servants involved in Sound & Audio Visual Ministries.
• Creating new servant opportunities during all our Sunday morning gatherings.
• Becoming a teaching resource for other churches in the region.
• Creating ways for unchurched people to learn about and participate in Sunday morning gatherings.
