Conflict: accompany the illness of his guardian to death was a great chronic stress.
Below are other cases briefly described, with the sole purpose of presenting other family systems and possible conflicts experienced by patients.
"Dolly", female, canine, poodle, 16 years. She was the "symbolic daughter" of a couple who could not have children. The guardian suffered from depression and was taking psychiatric drugs. After improving for 3 months with the homeopathic remedy, the patient finally died when the depression reappeared in the guardian lady.
"Salome" female, canine, mongrel, 11 years. Like the previous case, she was the "symbolic daughter" of a couple who could not have children. The guardian had a stroke and was in a wheelchair. Since then "Salome" began to decline and later manifested Cushing's syndrome. The patient never responded to the remedy I prescribed (it was a terminal case and she died after 15 days from starting the treatment).
"Coca", canine, beagle, female, 13 years. The same day the husband decided to leave his wife and their children, he gave “Coca” as a gift to them... obviously "Coca" symbolically represented the memory of the husband (a very heavy load) and was therefore never really accepted, nor properly looked after.
Results: The first three patients: "Violeta", "Gaston" and "Felipe," responded satisfactorily to homeopathic treatment. Symptoms of Cushing's syndrome were relieved. The value of cortisol - creatinine ratio in the urine was non-specific. They recovered very well. Other patients, "Dolly", responded successfully to homeopathic treatment.
However, ”Dolly” died after her guardian experienced a depressive crisis. Fifteen days after starting homeopathic treatment, "Salome" had a very advanced disease stage and died without significant changes. "Coca" was a patient of Dr. Alejandra Paul, who kindly shared the case, never received homeopathic treatment and died.
Conclusion: Once again it is evident that patients become the E.B.S (External Body Somatisation) manifesting conflicts usually when the system is remarkably dysfunctional in the family unit. In most cases the conflict that produces the representation of a "symbolic son" is a burden too heavy to be supported by a canine or feline. Chronic stress resulting from this situation leads to excessive stimulation of the hypothalamic - pituitary – adrenal glands, thus resulting in increased cortisol. This adaptation mechanism has a biological sense. This conflict was generated by human individuals and therefor it doesn’t belong to canines and felines.
