SWEET UNITY IS BORN
My father said, “A life is not important except in the impact it has on
other lives.” I have carried that idea with me all my life and worked to have a positive in uence on those around me.
In 1990, my family joined our rural farming neighbors clearing and planting 100 acres of co ee in the Tanzanian highlands. We formed a village-based cooperative to overcome the challenges faced by co ee farming families: lack of capital, consumer markets, infrastructure, education, and price support.
Our name, Sweet Unity Farms, was inspired by the cohesiveness of our farming community embracing fair play, justice, and respect for all. David Robinson
