The Sutras clearly delineate; its aim, the necessary practices, the obstacles you may
meet along the path, their removal, and precise description of the results that will be obtained from such practices. These selected Sutras are examples of the scope of this practice:
Yogas Chitta Vrtti Nirodhah – Sutra 1.2
The restraint of the modifications of the mind-stuff is yoga.
The entire science of yoga is based on this. Patanjali has given the definition of yoga and at the same time, the practice. “If you can control the rising of the mind into ripples, you will experience Yoga.”
