Acupuncture is obviously a very old therapy but it is relatively new in western culture. If you look at its history in relation of how it came to the West, it's kind of interesting. Chinese medicine and Acupuncture dates back between 4,000-5,000 years. Dr. Paul Nogier is the 'father' of scientifically researched acupuncture and modern Auricular Acupuncture is based on work by Dr. Paul Nogier of France in the 1960s.
