poses. I did this when I was at home, when I was teaching private lessons, and even snuck him into my classes at Crunch...and we started doing Yoga together. It wasn't the same without him. We loved to be together, it felt good to be together, and yoga felt good for the both of us. It also seems like something I really needed...especially in a time like it was right after 9/11. I needed to feel close to something and Coali and Yoga became that 'something' for me. It all felt good to me and, as the Director of Yoga at Crunch, I created the dog related Yoga classes, which I called "Ruff Yoga" at that point in time. It became a worldwide hit! Eventually, when I left Crunch five years later to move to Florida, I would then rename the practice DOGA, which is what it is known of as of today.
DOGA was natural and organic in its beginnings. I didn't start Yoga to really bring it to the world it was something I was doing with my dog because it made me feel better it was something that I did because I loved Yoga and I loved my dog. Afterwards I realized that other people might also love to do the same thing that I was doing by including my dog in my Yoga practice. It stood to reason that there were already plenty of people who were practicing Yoga at home on their own with their own dogs.
It just seemed logical to incorporate movements and include their dogs in the Yoga poses and thereby creating an actual class. For someone who is new to Yoga, you can do bits and pieces of
