 families. Donations, grants, and paid swimming lessons make these scholarships possible. We have helped thousands of people become ‘One with the Water’ and have provided over 1,000 scholarships, helping those with the highest needs and risks learn to swim.
Our students are our heroes! We especially admire our Veterans, our special needs swimmers, and adaptive athletes. Watching them face their fears and be courageous and resilient in the face of significant challenges is indeed an honor. Their grit, tenacity, and perseverance are a genuine inspiration to us.
We are staffed by professional swimmers, expert competitive swimmers, and former Olympians. I have worked as a swim instructor and lifeguard since 1986. I hold a Level 5 Disability Swim Coach certification and Level 3 USA Swimming Certification with the American Swimming Coaches Association. My additional certifications include U.S. Masters Certified Swim Coach Level 3 as well as the following American Red Cross: First Aid for Public Safety Personnel (Title 22), Lifeguarding & First Aid, Water Safety Instructor (WSI), CPR/AED for Lifeguards (Adult, Child, Infant), Administering
