progressively better. While the nightmares are not totally gone they are much less now...and that in itself is a true gift.
I am not done walking my own path. I would imagine that you aren’t either. I am willing to bet however, that you are a lot farther on than you were when you started reading this book! No matter what your PTSD is from, let’s all continue to fight this fight together. You are strong and radiate strength. No matter what you’ve been through, you are a survivor. You adapted and overcame and found your own path. Advocate for your needs and reach your future. Take care of yourself, and ask for help when you need to. Lastly, accept things aren’t always easy and you aren’t always in control. I thought about this being a TAPS to PTSD, and, for some of you it may be. Some of you may be able to place this book on your bookshelf and...maybe...leave it there for a long time...while you experience the renewed life you are leading now. For others, it may still be an on-going fight. It doesn’t matter at all which one of these you might be. What does matter is that you are still in the fight and that your eyes are open to all the wonderful options that are out there and available to help you all.
Never, ever give up that fight. My heart is lighter every moment...every second...and filled with happiness when I think about how much I know this book can, and will, help each and every one of you.
Until we shall meet again, an excerpt from TAPS:
