Page 150 - Total War on PTSD
P. 150

We checked our equipment, inspected our gear Bowed down our heads, the Chaplin led the prayer I took the lead as we rolled out the gate
Just another day no way of knowing our fate
Not day goes by
That I don't fight
The battle in my mind
Through my eyes
The truth in every tear I cry
I try God knows I cry
I know I cry
Second verse:
The bomb was big and the noise was loud Med evacuated from a dusty cloud
My heart stop beating and my blood ran cold Swollen, burnt so I was told
I prayed that God would set me free
The bomb took four and only left me
But they are angels my guiding lights Assuring me that everything will be alright Not day goes by
That I don't fight
