emotions (amygdala), we lose our ability to navigate the circumstances of our life. When people with PTS/PTSD are able to manage their symptoms — through therapy, or alternative methods like yoga and meditation — they regain control over their emotional and cognitive faculties, which they had previously lost. These large-scale brain and body transformations are the ultimate goal of iRest Meditation, which I have dedicated my professional life to developing.
Through the iRest Program, people suffering from PTS/PTSD, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and/or insomnia are able to break free of the ways they have been held hostage by their thoughts, emotions, and memories. They begin to regain perspective. Anxiety, fear, depression, and feelings of helplessness, and being out of control begin to lessen or entirely resolve. PTS/PTSD symptoms diminish. They regain their ability to navigate their life, work, and relationships in more authentic and responsive ways. And they feel a sense of joy, well-being, and peace return to their lives.
Through engaging iRest Meditation, negative self-talk diminishes. Creativity and insight come alive. Your brain and body turn on reparative and restorative processes that boost your immune system, increase your overall sense of well-being and joy, reduce stress-related symptoms of PTS/PTSD, and support you to enjoy restful sleep at night.
