“I studied homeopathy for years and years. Herbs and all kinds of acupuncture, acupressure, alternative medicine. I think it's just better to treat the whole person.” - Sissy

Courtenay: I had acupuncture once. It was a group session at a VA. They ushered around 15 of us into a very small room.
First mistake. Second mistake is they closed the door.
They only had one doctor who went around the room placing the 'needles' into each of our ears.
As the room grew hotter, I grew more and more claustrophobic. I wanted to walk out from the first moment I entered it after I saw the crowd in there. The only saving grace was finding a corner where I could see everyone and protect my back at the same time.
The ‘needles’ were ones that looked much like tiny piercings and would fall out, or could be taken out within a certain period of time.
I waited my turn while I tried to avoid arm-to-arm contact with the guys sitting on either side of me.
As soon as allowed/finished I shot out of that room, just short of a full-blown anxiety attack, and quickly left the building. Any benefit that I was supposed to feel was completely lost due to the nature and circumstances the session involved.
