I currently have two dogs, both of them are purebred German Shepherds. Meika is a puppy and is still in training but she is going to be my Service Dog. She is doing very well in training so far. I got her when she was only seven weeks old from Midwest Battle Buddies. The first Eekko I had, I had from to 1997 to 2001, he died from some sort of brain disorder and seizures and I had to get him put down. Eekko, the second one, is four years old (as of 2018) and is my pet because he did not pass the initial Service Dog test. I got Eekko from the Humane Society. Both of them are very loyal, loving and kind, and they both provide me with comfort when I am triggered or if something bothers me...and they are very good at distracting me and helping me to overcome my negative thoughts. Without my dogs, I don't know where I'd be. I love my animals and they love me. They're important to me because they protect me.
