glazed over look in her eyes...not understanding the reason for it until much later. Another place where I recognized that same look a lot more often was when I started visiting a VA therapist.
There were always at least a couple of Veterans sitting in the waiting room who had that same glazed over look on their faces. There were also others who, like me, tended to glance around the room, taking in everyone and everything around them as if there was a potential threat they were continually looking for.
