  What to look for ?
 First, we want to take a look at what shots Joel took this past season and study those to see where they come from and what are some of his most common shots. Interestingly, he has a very balanced game. He took 360 jump shots, 335 shots from post up situations, and 352 shots around the basket (not post ups).
His shot chart shows him taking mostly shots around the basket, a good amount of 3s, with limited mid-range shots. We can see that a lot of his shots right outside the paint come from the left block, probably due to him posting up much more on that block and shooting face up jump shots. We can also see that a big majority of his 3’s come from above the break (96% of his 3s), with a lot of those coming from the top of the key area (64% of his 3s). This is important to know so we can assess where most of shots come from when it comes time to put together his development plan.
