or reduced lunch during the week) supplemental food for the weekend. We provide lightweight, individually wrapped items that the children can prepare themselves. We are currently serving 750 children in the HISD.
DRESS FOR
SUCCESS PROGRAM
What do a high school grad on his way to his very rst job interview, a single mother starting her rst day as an o ce assistant,
and a 40-year-old man beginning his life again after being released from prison all have
in common?
They all need
professional clothing! Those in need of professional work-attire can apply for a voucher to go clothes shopping at New Beginnings Thrift Boutique.
HOMELESS
BACKPACK PROGRAM
The sad reality is that often times, whether due to overcrowding or mental illness, many homeless individuals cannot get a bed in
a shelter. When these situations
occur, FMH is here with emergency backpacks lled with basic survival needs (water bottles, granola bars, blankets, tarps, ashlights, tents, etc.) to keep these homeless individuals as safe as possible until shelter becomes accessible. This is our 4th year of partnership with the Houston Food Reserve to help provide these emergency items to those in need.
