New Single ‘I Used To Dance’ Released January 28th 2022
Louis McTeggart is a singer/songwriter based in Derry, Northern Ireland and is releasing his new sin- gle “I Used To Dance” on Jan 28th 2022.
An accomplished and talented musician and songwriter who has travelled the world performing, recording and collaborating for over 20 years.
He is now excited to release what he feels is the best song he has wrote in a long time.
Louis penned “I Used To Dance” during the sec- ond lockdown of 2020 after watching the viral video of Marta Gonzalez, the amazing lady and Alzhei- mer’s sufferer who was filmed dancing along beauti- fully to “Swan lake” in the Muro De Alcoy care home in Valencia, Spain in 2019.
When the the music started Marta came to life which brought Louis to tears and he felt she served as a beacon of hope in a time of great sadness and uncertainty.
Marta unfortunately died not long after the video was shot and could not find any trace of living relatives. Despite early speculations that Marta was a prima ballerina with the New York Ballet in the1960’s, it turned out that the only solid evidence anyone could find suggested that at one time Marta was a choreographer who had her pieces performed in Cuba and Amer-
ica. An inspirational lady inspired an inspirational song.
