On Friday, July 27th, members of the community will come together for “Queen Stand Up.” The event will take place at 3849 Northdale Blvd., Tampa, 33624, beginning at 9:30 p.m.
Steven Freeman will host the show. The guest speaker is Ms. Rondell Harmon.
Ms. Harmon said, “This is about women supporting each other. Queens Stand Up is the message. The message is about self-worth, self-and value. We all go through the same things.
“We need to support each other and that is the way we find success. By pulling each

A native of Monrovia,
Liberia, Ms. Harmon said she moved to this country as a toddler and didn’t return to her native land until she was 25.
However, since that time the Registered Nurse said she has been instrumental in starting several programs for children.
“I came from another place, but I did not forget where I came from.”
The show will also feature Comedians Vee James, Artist Shalice Antionatte Doyle, Amanda Laponte, MzYonka and Auntie Streetz.
The poets featured are

On Thursday, August 2nd, the Play Connection Mag- azine will release two short movies. The movies are enti- tled “Hood Uubbeerr” and “BBQ PIMP.” The event will take place at Green Gators, 9292 Anderson Road, Tampa, 33634. Showtime will begin at 9 p.m.
Dow Juan, of Playa Connection Magazine said the event features the talents of such notables as 3RRD World, BBQ PIMP, Zoe- boe 69, Jeffrey Edwards, Rhi Rhi, and Art Zager.
They are short movies, but the show will also include live music performances by 3RRD World, as well as the comedian performances.
BBQ PIMP will serve as the Host. He said this event is just one of the many activities that the young men are in- volved in. “We are coming to- gether in unity doing positive things. We are coming to- gether knowing how to forgive and forget.
“We are using local talent, developing better skills, and getting the right people. The movies feature people from all

over the country.”
Dow Juan said the
movies will also be entered in several upcoming festivals.
In addition to sharing their talents in the movies, the young men said they have other businesses.
3RRD World offers a clothing line known a TANG, which is an acronym for The Awesome Network of God. He can be followed on Instagram at wegottang.
BBQ PIMP said his name is an acronym for Black Beau- tiful Queens, Passionate Intel- ligent Men Progressing.
The group said they are working on projects for all ages.
This is the first time the group has released two movies to DVD at the same time.
