College Hill COGIC Preschool Celebrates Black History Month
COACH Foundation, Inc., President, Rev. Willie G. Dixon pledged to donate to the C.O.G.I.C. Pre-School, the Muslim family and other non-profits.
The College Hill COGIC Preschool, along with the sponsorship of the COACH Foundation, celebrated Black History Month by learning about some very important people.
The students were first treated to the powerful words of Maya Angelou by viewing her performance of “Still I Rise.”
They were then introduced to Amanda Gorman by viewing a video of her thought provoking Presidential Inau- gural poem. The children also learned about the lives and other accomplishments of these phenomenal women.
However, the highlight of the day though was an actual

visit from Frederick Dou- glass. The children were en- amored by his stories about his life. He kept the preschool- ers involved by learning Black History.
Though the Preschool chil- dren are very young, it is never too early to teach them about their rich history and the promise that they hold.
Roses were given to the staff, cash, McDonald’s Break- fast certificates, and other prizes were also distributed.
