Timmons Could Lose Guaranteed Money After Suspension
Sunday At 1 p.m.
Against Lions
The Miami Dolphins an- nounced Tuesday that they have suspended linebacker Lawrence Timmons indefi- nitely.
Timmons went AWOL on Sunday and did not play in the team’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers. The team even reportedly filed a missing persons re- port about the linebacker. It turns out that Timmons was dealing with a personal issue, but his lack of profes- sionalism still clearly both- ered the Dolphins, who have now suspended him.
Reporters are now saying the Dolphins will likely try to

ODELL BECKHAM, JR.
Odell Beckham, Jr. took the field for warmups roughly two hours before the New York Giants were set to take on the Detroit Lions Monday night, and the star wide receiver felt good enough to declare himself ready for his season debut.
Beckham, who has been battling a sprained ankle, told reporters he is ready to roll.
Reports throughout the week indicated Beckham was trending in the right direction, though some comments he made recently made it seem like he could miss multiple games.
The Giants looked com- pletely lost on offense without Beckham in Week 1. They managed just three points against the Dallas Cowboys, and Eli Manning completed 29-of-38 passes for 220 yards, no touchdowns and an inter- ception.
Sam Bradford Feeling ‘Better’ But Still Day-To-Day With Knee Injury
SAM BRADFORD
Minnesota Vikings quarter- back Sam Bradford missed last weekend’s game with a knee injury that is not believed to be serious, but it sounds like he is no lock to play in Week 3.
Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said Wednesday that Bradford has been feeling “better” but is still taking things day-to-day.
Zimmer has not ruled out the possibility of Bradford missing multiple games, but that seems unlikely given what we have heard about the in- jury. Any knee issue is a con- cern for Bradford since he tore the ACL in his left knee back in 2013 and again in 2014, but he is reportedly not dealing with ligament damage this time.

recoup some of the guaran- teed money they gave Tim- mons.
Timmons joined the Dolphins this offseason on a two-year, $12 million con- tract, with $11 million guar- anteed.
Now that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have one win under their belt after defeat- ing the Bears 29-7 on Sun- day, they’re moving on to the next one and have high hopes of clinching their sec- ond victory of the year when they take on the Vikings in Minnesota on Sunday.
The Buccaneers are en- tering this game undefeated following Sunday’s season opening victory while the Vikings are strolling into Week 3 1-1 after last week’s brutal 26-9 loss to the Pitts- burgh Steelers with quarter- back Case Keenum filling
in for Sam Bradford. Against the Steerlers, Keenum completed 20 of 37 passes for 167 yards an zero touchdowns in Min- nesota’s loss.
The Vikings lead the all- time regular season series 32-22, but the Bucs have won six of the past seven matchups between the two teams and will certainly be looking to make it eight on Sunday.

Terrelle Pryor Asks Cody Davis To Hit Higher Next Time, Not Go For Knees
Says He Will Play
Terrelle Pryor was on the receiving end of a low hit in his team’s win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, and he is asking the oppo- nent who delivered it to kindly reconsider the way he tackles in the future.
While he admitted it was “not a dirty play,” Pryor tweeted a video that showed Rams safety Cody Davis diving at his knees after the Washington Redskins re- ceiver caught a pass. Pryor requested that Davis aim a little higher next time.

what Davis did, so he is free to keep hitting like that if he so chooses. That is often- times the most effective way of making an open-field tackle, and you can’t argue with the results on that play.
Jay-Z Reportedly Turned Down Super Bowl Halftime Show
Jay-Z has been men- tioned as a possibility for the halftime show at Super Bowl LII in Minnesota, but multiple reports indicate it is not going to happen.
A source said that Jay-Z has no interest in performing at the Super Bowl despite ru- mors that he could take the stage with Justin Timber- lake in one of the most highly-anticipated perform- ances in the event’s history.
“Lots of people have been saying Jay will perform with Justin Timberlake, but it is simply not the case,” the source said, according to Metro. “He has enough songs to create an incredible per- formance but he really has no plans to do the halftime show.”
Jay-Z’s wife Beyonce headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in 2013 and made another appearance at

Super Bowl 50 two years ago. While it may be a coinci- dence, Jay-Z has been a sup- porter of Colin Kaepernick and gave him a shoutout dur- ing a recent concert. There is some belief that the 21-time Grammy Award winner might be unwilling to perform at the Super Bowl because of the perception that Kaepernick is being blackballed by NFL
owners.
Jay-Z has the ability to in-
fluence the sports world in big ways. Mr. Carter at the Super Bowl would create a ton of buzz.
